Mr. Ebenezer Ashie

Mr. Ebenezer Ashie has over ten years experience with the energy sector working with government institutions in Ghana. He has worked on various renewable energy projects and project fund raising activities. Prior to joining the Energy Commission, Mr. Ashie worked with the Ministry of Energy on various projects including the Household Energy Programme (support by UNDP/Energy Commission) as an Assistant Project Coordinator; Project Manager for the human resource capacity for dissemination of solar PV in Ghana with support from Japanese Government; and off-grid electrification project for public institutions with support from the Spanish Government. He also contributed in publishing PV Testing Manual and Technical Guideline for PV Rural Electrification for Ghana.
Mr. Ashie holds a Masters in Renewable Energy Development from Heriot Watt University, UK; Certificate in Formulating project proposals for climate change mitigation and clean energy, University of Twente, Netherlands, B.Sc. Information Communication Technology, Ghana Institute of Management & Public Administration and Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Accra Technical University.

From 2015 to August 2020, Mr. Ashie has been working as the Project Advisor (Energy & Finance) to the Sustainable Energy for All (SE4ALL) Secretariat which is a UNDP supported Project at the Energy Commission. He develops bankable proposals and is involved in fund raising activities to support the smooth implementation and achievement of the SE4ALL Action Agenda target by 2030.

Mr. Ashie is currently working as the Project Coordinator for the Sustainable Use of Natural Resources and Energy Finance (SUNREF) programme in Ghana which seeks to provide green credit line of 30million euro from AFD to local financial institutions to support Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency Projects in Ghana.
