Mansa Ayisi-Okyere

A seasoned Fundraising, Enterprise Development and Events Consultant experienced in providing advice to entities including Non-profit organisations on the implementation of business development strategies to promote growth and boost revenue. I have tangible experience assisting entities in making effective and critical decisions to ensure higher performance; proactively seek new business opportunities, identifying new prospects, awareness of relevant changes in their market focus and industry trends, and how to attract target audiences more effectively for long term growth through emphasis on networking. Specifically, my interest lies in helping businesses generate revenue using carefully curated strategic plans in alignment with company visions.

Currently, I am a board member of African Entrepreneurship Hub (AEH). a non-profit organisation I was instrumental in building from conception, which focuses on developing the next generation of ethical and transformational African leaders. As Executive Secretary for four (4) years after the inception of the organisation, I devised and implemented a strategy to help AEH raise funds to operationalise its activities and programmes. I successfully employed a combined strategy that saw the organisation establish and maintain relationships with a pool of High Networth Individuals who committed funds on a yearly basis as well as corporate entities like Barclays Bank and NEWCO who funded key programmes run by AEH.

With a vast experience in corporate events, some of my consultancies with non-profit organisations include Action Against Hunger (AAH) U.K; African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF), Ghana; and the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), UK, where I was successful in embedding the utilisation and importance of high level events as a fundraising tool as part of organisational strategies. Notable fundraising events I have worked on include the Millennium Ball with Kenny G sponsored by UBI Petroleum which raised over nearly a million dollars to aid development in Amansie Bonsase region.

Bilingual in English and French, my career path has seen me apply my business development skills in various capacities. Currently I focus on providing strategic and business growth support to early stage and growth SMEs looking to morph into sustainable businesses in the long term. My knowledge in project management means I am able to help the said organisations structure their business operations into vantage positions in order to receive funding from the right investors who also possess and project the right branding for their business. To date, I’ve consulted for reputable organisations such as the Ghana Climate and Innovation Centre (GCIC), GIZ and SNV to name a few. I’ve worked with over thirty (30) SMEs and successfully accompanied same to raise a combined investment of over half a million dollars in their respective businesses.

My educational accomplishments include a degree in International Relations, from University of Reading, U.K; an M.A in Gender studies from Goldsmiths College, University of London, UK; Professional Certificate in Marketing from CIM UK

I am passionate about driving change and making an impact within the community in which I exist and will seize any opportunity to give back. Naturally, this passion influenced me joining Rotary and becoming a charter member of the Rotary Club of Accra Trinity, where I have served in various capacities including Club President and continue to hold Board Member positions. I have contributed to the UN Foundation program – Girl Up as a mentor in Ghana; serving on several panels providing coaching and training.  I have also mentored several entrepreneurs across Africa with The African Entrepreneurship Awards. I was a member of the Tedx Accra advisory board, and I regularly sit on televised and high level panels advising young entrepreneurs on business models with programmes including Climate Launchpad Ghana, Seedstars and the Community Service Awards.

I am solicited as a speaker at various national summits on matters pertaining to entrepreneurship and development; have facilitated and moderated myriad events and webinars on on the subject of entrepreneurship and development including some for the Ministry of Finance on the Sustainable Development Goals involving high level officials and other corporate companies line Enterprise Life Insurance and GLICO.

When I am not working, I enjoy traveling and reading.
